Teknoservice and Smart Eventi create an immersive educational adventure for World Environment Day
Environmental education often finds its natural place in textbooks and classroom activities, yet Teknoservice has chosen a different path for World Environment Day by creating an immersive experience in which 180 fourth-year primary school students could approach complex sustainability topics through direct participation rather than passive learning
The challenge was to transform concepts such as circular economy, responsible resource management and environmental protection into activities capable of involving children while preserving the educational depth required to communicate meaningful values.
The format emerges from storytelling
GECO and Smart Eventi developed "La Missione della Terra: Salvate il Pianeta!", an educational treasure hunt built around the four elements of nature: Earth, Water, Air and Fire, designed to turn environmental awareness into a shared adventure. Hosted at the Palazzina di Caccia di Stupinigi and the surrounding park, the initiative involved eight classes divided into smaller groups, each following a personalised route made up of logic challenges, thematic quizzes, creative workshops, environmental puzzles and collaborative tasks.
The structure of the experience was carefully designed to ensure that every activity contributed to a broader educational purpose, encouraging teamwork, observation skills, creativity and a deeper understanding of sustainability issues. Elements such as circular economy, water protection, air quality, composting and responsible use of resources became tangible through interactive challenges, allowing students to approach topics that are often presented in abstract terms through a more immediate and memorable perspective.
Operational complexity and event management
Behind the playful dimension of the initiative was a detailed organisational process involving every stage of the project, from the initial creative concept and narrative development to the production of customised maps, graphic materials and game elements. Smart Eventi managed the coordination of animators, technical staff, logistics, participant transfers, audio and technical services, ensuring that the entire day unfolded according to precise safety and quality standards.
Managing a large group of young participants within a historic location such as the Palazzina di Caccia di Stupinigi required careful planning and constant supervision, while maintaining the spontaneity and involvement that make educational activities effective. The event followed the principles of ISO 20121, integrating sustainability criteria into the organisation itself through responsible resource management and operational choices consistent with the environmental goals of the project.
Turning sustainability into a shared experience
The initiative allowed children and teachers to engage with environmental themes through a format based on collaboration and discovery, where learning developed naturally through interaction. Concepts that can often appear distant, such as circular economy models or the impact of daily choices on natural resources, became accessible through practical activities that encouraged reflection and participation.
Teachers also played an active role throughout the experience, creating opportunities for further discussion after the event and reinforcing the connection between the activities carried out during the day and the educational path developed in schools.
A project designed to leave a lasting impact
Through the collaboration between Teknoservice, GECO and Smart Eventi, the event demonstrated how carefully designed educational formats can combine entertainment, communication and environmental responsibility within a single experience. The integrated management of the project ensured smooth coordination, compliance with safety requirements and a high-quality experience for all participants, contributing to the promotion of environmental awareness among younger generations and strengthening Teknoservice’s commitment to sustainability education.
