In 2019, as the globe turned its eyes towards the epic 500th death anniversary of Leonardo Da Vinci, we were inspired to shape an innovative team-building activity that honours his spirit of discovery. Our Italian pride and joy, Leonardo is globally celebrated for his timeless works, fuelling hundreds of events around the world. But how did we contribute? We shook up industry norms by leveraging the global buzz surrounding the 500th anniversary of Leonardo da Vinci's death and creating the ultimate 'Leonardesque' treasure hunt, which turned into an instant team-building classic, a unique blend of discovery, fun, and learning designed to boost collaboration and problem-solving capabilities.
Stepping Into Leonardo's World
Our innovative tour takes participants on a journey, following an itinerary earmarking significant landmarks of Leonardo's life. This unforgettable adventure begins in Anchiano, Leonardo's birthplace. It traverses Vinci, his long-time residence, goes through Florence and Milan, where his stunning masterpieces are preserved, drops by Parma to admire the intriguing drawing known as 'La Scapigliata' and concludes in Rome, where the genius’s undeniable influence remains strong. Does this mean this team building is only available to company who can invest into extensive and expensive travel experiences through Italy? Of course not…
Unlocking Leonardo's Secret
We've reinvented our successful 'Leonardo's Secret' activity to be available to a wide range of clients. What's the special twist we added, you ask? Well, we now deliver the thrill of a classic treasure hunt with modern technology while stirring up Da Vinci's inventive spirit. Our participants, armed with iPads (Leonardo himself would've approved of such a versatile invention!), are divided into teams. Their mission is to explore Milan (but we could easily adapt this activity to other cities as well), deciphering a trail of clues that deepen their understanding of Leonardo's life and work. Each riddle requires a blend of history and art knowledge, adding just the right touch of challenge to keep things engaging.
The final 'treasure' isn't a material objects to hold as a prize, but something way more valuable: a profound insight into the city realising how Leonardo’s legacy has shaped Milan, Italy, and the world beyond.
