An Engaging Experience to Strengthen Xiaomi's Team

Xiaomi wanted to organise an exclusive event for the employees of its Milan office, involving about 80 people in an immersive team-building experience. The goal was to find a location outside the city that provided a relaxing atmosphere and engaging activities to strengthen teamwork among colleagues. Given the linguistic diversity of the participants – half Italian and half Chinese – the entire day had to be conducted in English, ensuring a smooth and inclusive experience for everyone.

Xiaomi Explores Valtellina: An Unforgettable Event

After carefully analysing the client's needs, we selected Valtellina as the ideal destination, as it is a veritable corner of paradise, just 90 minutes away from Milan. The chosen location was a charming farmhouse immersed in a stunning natural landscape, perfect for combining relaxation, tradition, and stimulating activities.

The day followed a meticulously planned agenda to ensure a memorable experience. After a welcome drink, participants enjoyed a traditional lunch featuring local farm-to-table products, including a platter of cured meats and cheeses and the famous Valtellina pizzoccheri. During the meal, a lottery with farm products as prizes added a fun touch to the proceedings.

In the afternoon, a guided tour allowed guests to explore the stables, the cheese factory, and the surrounding areas, learning about local traditions. The "Cheesemaker Challenge" team-building activity then tested participants' organisational and teamwork skills: divided into teams, they created a butter pat and decorated it with Christmas-themed elements, competing for the best design. The winning team was awarded a prize.

The event concluded with a snack featuring traditional sweets like panettone and bisciole valtellinesi, leaving participants with memories of an authentic and engaging experience.
