Bikes for Children in Need: CBRE's Transformative Team Building Experience
Date: 23rd January 2025
Aims: Transforming a team building activity into a transformative experience that combined competition, creativity and positive social impact.
The Client's Request
Charitable Initiative for CBRE Team Building
During a meeting with our loyal client CBRE, the proposal for a team building activity centred on donating bicycles to children in need sparked immediate enthusiasm. Originally planned as a Christmas initiative, the event was rescheduled for January 2025 whilst maintaining its noble charitable purpose intact. The combination of teamwork and social impact represented the key element that won over the client.
Our Proposal
Charitable and Effective Team Building: Building Bicycles, Strengthening Bonds, Making a Difference
We transformed CBRE's offices into a perfectly equipped creative workshop for this charitable challenge. The experience was organised in three strategic phases: initially, participants explored our customised marketplace, selecting bicycle components available in different colours and features, fostering collaborative decisions from this early stage.
Subsequently, we triggered a stimulating competition between teams during the assembly phase, timing performances to add an element of healthy competitiveness. The experience reached its peak with a moment of creative expression, where each group designed a personalised message for the recipient children, emotionally connecting participants to the social impact of their teamwork.
Achieved Results
Measurable Impact of Charitable Team Building
The initiative exceeded all expectations, further elevated by the participation of a representative from the Rava Foundation. This contribution enriched the experience, offering CBRE teams an authentic window into the reality of the children's home receiving the bicycles. Sharing the foundation's mission added a profound emotional dimension, transforming a team building activity into a meaningful and memorable social learning experience for all participants.
