Lego building: the team building experience designed for Generali
A bespoke Lego team building experience designed for Generali brought an entire HR division together around creativity, strategy and interaction.
Playful in form, yet structured in intent, the activity proved both innovative and deeply engaging.

A team building experience for Generali’s HR department
The initiative involved 75 members of Generali’s HR team, who approached this type of experience for the very first time. The request was clear from the start: to create an original and stimulating activity capable of going beyond simple team bonding.
The aim was not merely to spend a few hours together, but to design a shared moment that could effectively convey Generali’s new corporate values, strengthening group cohesion through a dynamic and meaningful format.

To meet this objective, a fully customised Lego Building experience was developed for Generali, turning colourful bricks into genuine tools for corporate communication. Each team was asked to interpret and represent a specific company value through original Lego constructions.
Nine teams, one creative challenge
Nine teams were formed, with each group assigned a value to explore and translate into a tangible form: collaboration, responsibility, innovation, and others central to Generali’s identity.

To enrich the creative process, an internal “marketplace” was set up. Participants could trade and acquire special bricks, unique decorations and distinctive elements to personalise their models. This mechanism introduced an additional layer of interaction, encouraging negotiation, collaboration and strategic thinking across teams, a dynamic often found in well-designed creative team building experiences.
Lego as a professional interaction tool
The teams’ ability to interpret corporate values through their constructions became a concrete expression of organisational culture. At the end of the activity, all the models were handed over to the company, where they now stand as permanent installations, visually embodying Generali’s core values and serving as lasting reference points.

Final reflections on a different kind of team building
Understanding corporate values is not always immediate. Giving them a physical form, however, helps people and organisations see and experience concepts that often remain confined to documents or abstract statements.
In this case, Lego bricks acted as a bridge between ideas and action, between abstract principles and professional community. The Lego team building for Generali demonstrated how corporate culture can be built or reinforced simply by changing perspective and embracing experiences like this one.
